The Information of Edward Clarke< no role > taken before me this 29th.
day of May 1773.

Who being upon Oath says that be lives at No. 10 in Golden Lane , that on or about
the 20th. day of March last one Barnard Solomon< no role > commonly called the Bear came
to this Informants house aforesaid and lay there all night with this Informants
consent telling him that he had Beat a Watchman a Warrant was granted against
him and that he had not his Bail ready Says that the next day a Woman who called
herself the Wife of said Barnard Solomon< no role > came there and Staid all night with him
by the consent of this Informant, Says they both continued there above a Month
kept themselves confined in the day time and seldom or ever went out but
in the night time. Says that while the said Barnard Solomon< no role > and his Wife [..]
were in this Informants house and he very well remembers it was on a
Friday morning the 2nd. of April about 4 oClock, some person called Clarke from the Street,
that he was going to get up but Barnard Solomon< no role > got up and went down as
did his Wife and both went out. Says this Informant got up about 5 o'Clock,
Says that on some person knocking very hard he went to the door and opened it,
Says that Barnard Solomon< no role > came in frist, that his Wife followed him, and that a
Man who was calledhimself [..] Peele brought in a Deal Box that they went
up into the said Barnard Solomons< no role > Room, that a Quantity of Silver Plate was taken out of said Box mixed
with Horse Dung. Says that among said Plate was one two handled Cup which
appeared to hold about two Quarts, a Silver Coffee Pot, one or two Butter Boats
a small Saucepan, a Cross Stand for a Dish, a Large Waiter and a Small Waiter
Eight Candlesticks, one or two Sugar Baskets a Bread Basket several Spoons
Etc.Says that he saw said Barnard give to his Wife when he came into the
door as aforesaid, a Number of Morning Rings which were enamelled and
the Cases of a Gold Watch, Says that said Barnard then sent his Wife to fetch
one Bochers A Few, Says that after she had been gone about half an hour she
returned with an Iron Mould for an Ingot, and that about an hour afterwards
Bochers came with a Furnace made of Tobacco. Pipe Clay< no role > or some such Material
Says he also brought with him a Melting Pot. Says that before said Bochers
came said Barnard desired him to Buy a Bushell of Charesal which he did,
Says that said Bochers made a large Five in said Barnards room with said
Charsal [..] in the said Furnace and, put the Melting Pot on it, Says that said Barnard
