Justices of the peace
for the said
County
Who being upon Oath saith that about a
quarter before two o'Clock on Saturday Morning
last he was upon Duty in Welbeck Street

when a person now present who calls
himself William Boyd< no role >
. passed by this Informants
Watch Box this Informt. suspecting the said
Wm. Boyd< no role >
was loitering about there upon no good
design got of his Watch Box & followed to
the Come of Bentick Stock when he saw another
Man with line whom this Informant does not
know upon which this Informant asked them
what they did out so late when the said William
Boyd< no role >
. gave this Informant for answer that
they were going home to their Lodgings upon
which he asked them were they Lodged when
Boyd sayd they Lodged at Mary Le Bone
& you went believe me come along and I'll
shew you upon this Informants going a little
way with them One of the two slipped down a
Coach Yard & made his escape upon which this
Informant Immediately Collared the same William

who endeavoured to break loose from him
& finding he could not Immediately say'd to this
Informant You bloody [..] minded Bougred
if you don't let me goe I'll blow Your brains
out and directly fired a pistol at this Informt
head the Shott whereof went into his night
Cheek by which means he is dangerously
wounded this Informant saw the pistol
which was fired at him in the hand of the
said William Boyd< no role >
