taken upon Oath this 29th Day of
September 1772
before us Four of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
in
and for the said County
This Informant upon his said Oath declareth and Saith That
he being requested by the Justice to go the Angel in Saint Giles's
this Day to Enquire whether Any Person had went from his House
Yesterday or in the Evening of that Day in a Post Chaise for Dorsetshire
Saith that he Accordingly did this Day make the said Enquiry at
the said House of Mr Hanks the Master of the said Inn, Who told
this Informant That He had no Chaise as went out Yesterday from
his House but one which was in the Morning with Mr Cox the
Brewer
; and that the said Hanks did in the presence of this Informt.
look over his Book of Entry of Pott Chaises by which he the said
Hanks was well Assured that what he told this Informant was
right.
