The Information of Samuel
Bellancy of New Round Court in the
Strand Jeweller taken before us two
of his Majestys Justices of the Peace
for the said County

Who being upon Oath saith that on the fourth
Day of September last in the forenoon about 11
o'Clock a man came into this Informant Shop
in new Round Court (whose names this Informant
found to be Robert Holloway< no role > This name instance is in set 3658. ) he asked this
Informant to let him look at some knee Buckles
which were in a Shew Glass in the said Shop & says
that he wanted to send some goods abroad upon which
he shewer him the Knee Buckles & after some little
conversation he pulled out of his Pocket the
Bill of Exchange now produced for the sum of Sixteen
Pounds & ten shillings & shewed it to this Informt
and told him that it was a very good Bill & that
the person who drawed the Bill was a good man &
that the person upon whom it was drawn was
the same this Informant told the said Robert
Holloway
< no role > that it was a very dangerous time to take
paper or Bills the said Robert Holloway< no role > then say'd
that he need not be afixed for it was a good Bill and
would be duly honoured & devised this Informant
to take the said Bill to one John William Leo
upon whom it was drawn [..] and who had accepted
it to see if he would acknowledge the [..] Acceptance
which this Informant did & the said John William
Leo
< no role > acknowledged the acceptance & told this Informant
it was a very good Bill this Informant [..]
in going home not with the said Robert Holloway< no role >
as he saw going homewho asked him whether
he had before us the Gentleman to see if he would
acknowledge the acceptance of the Bill this informt
told him that he had upon which the said Robert
Holloway
< no role > returned with this Informant to his
Shop-and looked out severall part of Stone
Shoe & knee Buckles set in Silver a Gold Shirt
