and this Informant saw the said three men
attack the Chaise and he stayed a Small space
of time then rode up to the assistance of the people
in the Chaise and saw the said Charles Earle< no role >
laying upon the Ground & heard him call out Dann
your Eyes Fire and he saw the person now present
who calls himself Francis Lewis snap< no role > his pistel
which Flashed in the pan but did not go off then
this Informant fixed his Pistol at the said
Frances Lawis< no role > upon which Lewis & the other
Ran away & this Informant pursued & took
Lewis but the third made his Escapethe next
Morning
and about four Days after a sad brought
the Pistol now produced to this Informant which
was Loaded and which the said Lad told him he
had found in a field near the spot where the attack
was made

And the saidThreeseveral InformantsWilliam
Brichlift
John Count< no role > and John Stedman< no role >
for themselves say that during the time of this
Information being taken they saw a person now
present who calls himself Thomas Murphy< no role > going
by the Magistrates Window they recollected for a person
as being one of the three that attacked them on the
said fifth of September and her being apprehended
they are very certain that he is one of the three
persons and who made his escape and they then
declared the incident of his being Cut on the left
Shoulder & upon the said Thomas Murphy< no role > & being
Strip't a Cut was on his left shoulder do they had
before described

And this Informant William Hinchliff< no role > for
himself further saith that the said Thomas
Murphy
< no role > is one of the three persons that attacked
andhim and the person who took his Watch
and verily believes that the said Francis Lewis< no role >
and Charles Earles< no role > were the other two but cannot
positively Swear to their persons.
