The Information of Catherine Cane< no role >
and Ann Griffiths< no role > Margaret Cowling< no role > George Eling< no role > taken before Us two
of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the
said County

Who severally being upon Oath say and first
this Informant Catherine Cane< no role > for herself saith that
on Sunday Morning last between 5. & 6' o Clock
in the Morning she went to the Cow house (being a
Milk Woman) & when she went out all her Goods were
safe exept two Gowns which were Stolen the Day before in about two hours she returned again & found
her Drawers broke Open & twenty One half Crowns
One Crown piece one Silver one half Guinea a five
Shillings & three pence in Gold, a Gold Ringtwo
Gowns now Produced
and diversotherwearing
Apparel were Stolen. and saith that the two
Gowns now Produced were Stolen as aforesaid
and this Informant Ann Griffiths< no role > for herself
saith that she together with Mary Edgers< no role > and
Ann Higgins< no role > abt. 6' o Clock on Sunday Morning
last within Covent Garden where Mary Edgers< no role >
Proposed that they should go and Robb the other
Informant Catherine Cane< no role > upon which they
Immediately went to the Cellar of the said Catherine
but found that she was not gone out they waited
till she went out & as soon as she was gone out
then they all went into the Cellar Mary Edgers< no role >
then went and got a Quartern & half of Gin which
she mixed with Milk & gave to Mary Cane< no role > an
Infant about 10 Years of Age the daughter of
the said Catherinethen they broke Open the
Drawers and took twenty One half Crowns &
one Crown Piece in Silver One half Guinea &
a five Shillings & three Pence in Gold in Gold Ring
& some Wearing Apparel the Contents of which
she cannot Sellthey then came out of the Cellar
& brought Mary Cane< no role > with them who had the Money
they went all together into the Long Fields Saint
Pancras were they wanted to share the Money
but at that time it was not shared
