Middlesex to wit}

The Information of Lambert Taylor< no role > of back Lane in the
Parish of St. George in the County of Middlesex Victualler
taken upon Oath before us two of his Majesty's Justices of
the peace in and for the said County the 30th: day of May in
the Year of our Lord 1771 .

This Informant saith about Eleven O'Clock last Night being
the 29th. day of May Instant he this Informant Examined the
several Bolts and Locks of the Doors ad Widow Shutters of his
Dwelling House in Back Lane aforesaid and found and left
them Bolted and Secured and then he this Informant and
the rest of his Family went to Bed and left none of his
servant up to his knowledge and beliefSaith that about three O'Clock in the Morning
he this Informant was called up and Informed by one
[..] Able a Watchman that one of the window Shutters of his
House was open, upon which he this Informant came down Stairs
and Examined and found the Sash of the said Window up and
the Iron Bolt that fastned the Window Shutters wrenched or
forced Opensaith that he then searched the lower Rooms of his House but found
no person there (whereupon the Watchman came in) and then he
this Informant went to a draw or Cupboard in the Bar of his
House and there found the door of the said Bar open and the Door
of the Cupboard also and some half pence Shewed or thrown on
the floor, and upon further search found a Canvas bag contain [..]
ing a Quantity of Copper halfpence taken away and also a Quart
Bottle containing some Rum and thereupon he this Informant
went up Stairs and Informed his Wife of what had happened
Saith that about Nine O'Clock the said Morning he this Informant

that there was some persons taken suspected to have broke open his
