who Jones told him was his Brother and that his name was
Brent Jones paid this Informt £15. in the presence of
Charles the Dyer & Brent; [..] Brent declared that Jones paid
him £5 too much And further saith that Jones in the presence
of the other two delivered the same Pair of Diamond Earrings
which had been Offered to Hart to this Informt. & told him
to let the Jew Son of Bitch (meaning the said Harte) have them for the ten Guineas
he had Offered but that he meaning this Informant should
have nothing for his Trouble: Charles the Dyer then went
away & While Jones was Busy Drawg. of Beer. Brent Whispered
to this Informt. desiring to know where he lived & he told him
& the next Morning Brent came to this Informts. House
alone & told him that he had three Single Hundred pound
Banks Notes to Dispose off but desired that he would not tell
his Brother Jones anything of them & desired this Informt
to tell the said Hart the Jew that he should have he sd. three
Notes at the same Rate as those his Brother Jones had sold to him
This Informt. thereupon Immediately Went to Hart & Acquainted
him with it who told him to come at four o Clock & the Money
should be Ready& this Informt. Returned to his Lodgings
to Brent who waited thereon Purpose & Informed him
of it& Brent then promised to Return to this Informt.
Lodgings at half an hour past three which he accordingly
did & this Informt. & Brent went together to a Public
House near to his Lodgings & there he gave this Informt.
the sd. three Single Hundred Pound Notes to Sell to Hart
at the same time declaring that he did not Choose to be; seen
