upon Oath before me one of his Majesty's
Justices of the peace
in and for the County of
Middx the 20th: day of Decemr: 1769
This Informant saith that on Monday (last) the 18th: day
of Decemr: Instant between the Hour of Nine and Ten
of the same Day, This Informant mell or was over taken
in the Road called the New Road
leading from the
Public Turnpike Road to wards St: George, Church
in the said County by three Men who appeared to this
Informant to be young Men, saith that one of the said 3
Men Stept up to him this Informant and said "I have need
"of you this Night" and immediately the said two other
Men came and laid hold of this Informant and
held [..] him whilst and untill the other put his hand
in this Informant Bruce Pocket and took out from Hence
one Silver Watch and one brass Chain and Key and half pence about Seven Shillings in Silver and someCopper
[..] which said Silver Watch Brass Chain and Keyand
Silver and half pence they the said persons or one of
them took and carried [..] away
