The Information of John Sheppard< no role > &
Jane Carter< no role > taken before me this
12th. day of January 1769

Who being upon Oath severally say and first the said
John for himself says that he had Stolen on the 8th. of
December from out of the Boot of the Clapham Stage
Coach two Gowns now produced and the said Jane for
herself says that on the 8th. of December in the
Evening a person now present who calls himself
Thomas Jones< no role > delivered to her one of the said Gowns
now produced and desired her to pawn it [..]
and the said John for himself further says that he
does suspect and verily believe that the said Thomas
Jones< no role > did feloniously take and carry away the
said two Gowns
