The Information of William Hicklin< no role > Capt Thomas
Taylor
< no role > and John Skutt< no role > taken upon Oath before us
[..] Six of his Majesty's Justices of the peace in and
for the said County on Wednesday the 6th: day of
December in the Year of our Lord 1769

Who being severally upon Oath say and first the said William
Hick lin for himself saith that about Eleven O'Clock this Morning
a large Mob of several hundred People coming to wards the House
of Lewis Chavet Esqr. of Crispen Street in the Parish of Christ Church
in the said County and brought with them a Gibet saith that He
said Mob Stopped at the Door of the said Lewis Chavet Esqr. and
immediately began to Demolish the Front of the Dwelling House
of the said Lewis with large Pebbles or Brick Batts by throwing of which [..]
Glass Windows, Sash Frames and Window Shutters belonging to the said House [..] This Informant further were [..] and Des [..] ed
saith that a Man now present who call [..] self Nathaniel

he saw the said Norris throw & Stone against the House or windows
of the said Lewis and the said Cant Thos. Taylor for himself saith
that about Twelve of the Clock this Day he saw a large Mob Assembled
before the dwelling House of the said Lewis Chavet Esqr: in Crispin Street
aforesaidthatand being determined to defend the House of the said
Lewis he got [..] a brace of Pistols and Loded the said Pistols in [..] of [..] the House of the said [..]
Lewis and places himself in the Window of the Front Parlour
and used every Expotulation that [..] used to him, to the Mob
to induce them to disperse and cease there outrages for that the
Window frames, and Sashes were broke and Shattered but this
Informant saith that a great Number of Pebble Stores were
