The Information of Robert Brathwaite< no role >
of George Yard White Chapel Weaver
and Thomas Bingham< no role > of Patternoster
row Spital Fields Labourer taken before
me this 12th. day of Feb: 1768

Who being upon Oath severally say that they very well
remember the time that Luke Coopers work was Cut in the Looms
in Montague Court Bishopsgate Street that it was on a Monday
Night and as they believe on the 14th. of Decr. last farther
say that between the houses of twelve and one the same Night
they these Informants went by the direction of their Master Mr. Green
[..] round to the rest of his Men (the aforesaid Cooper being one)
in order to caution them to take Care of their Work, says amongst the
rest they went about the hour aforesaid to the Lodging of one James
Merchant
< no role > one of their said Master's Men in old Mitchell Street
and was there told by his wife that he was not at home but was at
his Brothers at the Admiral Vernon's head in New Nicholls that
say that they went there Immediately and werewaslet in by the said Merchant
whom they told what had happened that the saidEvansMerchant first
wanted them to go into a dark room to which they objected being a Little
alarmed, that Merchant pressed them to stay telling them that there
was a Gentleman there who cou'd tell them all about it, or more
about it or Wards to that effect that a Candle and a Pott of
Beer was then called for and that there then appeared William Evans< no role >
now in Newgate an another Man whom Informts. did not know that
they all went into a Room together Say that the said Evans then asked
Informts. why Mr. Green had not embodied his Men for that he had had
a Letter the same as Mrs. Peyton which Letter he Evens had seen
before Mr. Green, said Give my Service to your Master, tell him my Name
in Evans, that there shall he no more damage done to hight, provided
he embodice his Men tomorrow, but if he does not there hall be more
Cost or all Cut tomorrow, or words that or the like effect
