This Examinant Volluntarily Confesseth and saith that
last Monday was Sevenight being on Board the Boston Pacquet
Captain John Marshall< no role >
to whom he was Bound Apprentice he Stole
out of the Captains
Bureau Nine and twenty Guineas in Gold and two
Bark Notes, one of Twenty pounds the other of Ten the Ship then
laying at Bell Wharfe Shadwell says he Crossed over the Water
to Greenwich
then went to Gravesend
with a pair of Oars
there took a Post Chaise after changeing the £20 Bill at the
Swan there and went to Maidstone
from thence went to
Merrywood
then to Hadley
, from Hadley to Turnbridge Wells
from thence to Riverhead
, from thence to Bromley
from thence to
Town from thence to Andover
and from Andover to the Devizes
where he was taken in to Custody on being seen with so much
Moneys says he changed the £10 Bill with one Leeat Greenwich
where La changed his Clothes and that forty three pounds
Eleven Shillings and three pence found upon him at the Devizes
is part of the Money which he Stole from his Master Captain
Marshall as aforesaid
