The Information of Samuel Lucas< no role > of
Chelsea Pentioner taken before me
this 14th. day of April 1766

Who being upon Oath says that last Wednesday fortnight he had
feloniously Stolen out of his Pocket forty five Guineas in Money
and as he verily believes by Ann Benton< no role > now present because
he that Night went to Bed with said Benton in the house of one
Becket in John's Street Westminsr. about ten or Eleven o' Clock
at which time he had the Money safe in his Pocket and on
awaking about three o' Clock the [..] next Morning he
missed both the Woman and Money, and also having [..]
taken her into Custody on Friday last the first time he
he had seen her since the Robbery he found in her Custody
eight Guineas and one Quarter Guinea which said Benton
confesses cond acknowledges to be part of his Money Stolen
as aforesaid but which She pretends he gave her which
pretence is not true
