The Information of Capt John Stuckley Somerset< no role > of
Gerrard Street , and Major Joseph Smith< no role >
of Bond Street taken before me this 24th..
day of June 1763

Who being upon Oath severally say that on Saturday night last
about Ten o'Clock as they were coming in a Coach from Turnham
Green to London they were over taken in Hyde Park near
Grosvenor Square Gate by a Single Highway man who stopt
these Informants demanded their Money telling them if they
did not deliver their Money they were dead Men or words to
that effect presenting at the same time a smile Pistol,
and took from this Informant Capt Somerset a green Purse
now Produced containing six Shillings in Silver, and from this
Informant Major Smith nine or ten Shillings in Silver and
these Informants farther say that they verily believes a Person
now present who calls himself William Abbot< no role > to be the
same Person that stopt and Robbed them as aforesaid
particularly Informant Major Smith is Positive that
he is the same Person
