down the Garrot Stairs which she afterwards found to be Mr.
Gardelle for that he soon after delivered her a Letter to carry
to Suffolk Street , says that at this Time the sd. Mr. Gardelle
was dressed in a red Clock or Banian, says that at this time
a Gentleman came to the door whose Name she believes to be
down who went up Stairs to the said Gardelle, says that the
said Gardelle had at this Time a bump or bruise over his left
Eye which was covered with a petch, and that She is very sure
that the said Gardelle had no such bruise nor no such
Patch upon his Cave when she fired saw him the same
Morning and this Informant farther says that a Gold Watch
Chain Etc now produced was the property of her late Mistress
Mrs. King, and that a Shift likewise now produced & shewed to
her was the very Shift in which her Mistress went to
Bed on the said Wednesday Night
