Informacons of Winesses taken & Acknowledged
on behalf of our Sovereign Lord the King touching the
Death of Edward Clarke< no role > at the sign of the [..] Flying [..] in Lambeth Street in the Parish of St. Mary
White-chapel in the said County of Middx on the 26th.
days of July & 3d. of Augt. 1757. before Edwd. Umfreville< no role >
One of the Coronrs. of the said County on an Inquisicon
then & there taken on View of the Body of the said Edwd.

Robt. Burches< no role > of Wapping Biscuit Baker . That on
Sunday Morning last abts. 6. he was standing at the Sun &
Sword Door at the Corner of [..] Cable Street near the Gully Hole
& law a Man waring up out of a Cellar over agt. him almost
as if he was tumbling & came in a Harry. That One Murray
followed him but had nothing in his hand. That Murray when
he came to the Top of the Stairs into the Street cried out "Less is
a Man to be bids 2d. for a Shirt & Wants to steal One" the Decd.
Answrd. [..] he had as much money as he had & pulled
out a Purse & Chinot it Cut caual. Say who. it was Gold
Silver or Copperit was near as big as his Fist Saw Murray Path
the Deced several Times but cann't say with What unless he Over saw
a Row wch. he cant. [..] otherwise than as he thinks it
half as big as his Fist. that the Deced justified his Character
& the other following him the Deced. was Oblig'd to Go
into the Ball & Butcher for Saftywhere he call'd for
Pint of Hot Pott. Saw the Bane Flung but cannot Say
wher. it hit the Dowel tho' he verily Believes Murray was
the Occasion of the Death of the Manfor the Dowel he Saw
Go down into the Coller strong & in Spirits as he thinks &
that he was in the Cellar abt. 10 Minutes but [..] to came
up [..] in a Harry
