AN INQUISITION indented, taken for our Sovereign LORD the KING, at the House of
Richard Coby< no role > the Sign of the Eight Bells Saint Giles's in the Parish
of Saint Giles in the Fields in the County of
Middlesex , the Second Day of November in the Thirty ninth Year of the
Reign of our Sovereign LORD GEORGE the Third , by the Grace of GOD of Great-Britain, France
and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, and so forth, before George Hodgson< no role > Gent
one of the CORONERS of our said LORD the KING, for the said County, on View of the Body of
Alexander Milen< no role > then and there lying dead, upon the Oath of
the several Persons whose Names are hereunder-written and Seals affixed, good and lawful
Men of the said County, duly chosen, and who being then and there duly sworn and
charged to inquire, for our said LORD the KING, when, how, and by what Means, the said
Alexander Milen< no role > came to his [..]
Death, do, upon their Oath say, That [..] the said Alexander Milen not being of
sound Mind Memory and Understanding but lunatic and distracted
on the first Day of November in the Year aforesaid at the Parish and
in the County aforesaid on End of a certain Piece of Small Cord to a
Rafter then and there being and the other End thereof about his own
Neck did fix tie and faster and therewith did then and there hang
suffocate and strangle himself of which hanging Suffocation and
strangling he the said Alexander Milen then and there died And
so the Jurors aforesaid do say that the said Alexander Milen< no role >
not being of sound Mind as aforesaid in Manner and by the
Means aforesaid did kill himself
IN WITNESS whereof, as well the said CORONER asthe said Robert Rogers< no role >
the Foreman of the said Jurors, and the Rest of his said Fellows, have, to this Inquisition set
their Hands and Seals, the Day, Year, and Place first above-written.
