AN INQUISITION indented, taken for our Sovereign LORD the KING, at the Workhouse
belonging to the Parish of Saint Luke Chelsea situate in the King's Road
in the said Parish in the County of
Middlesex , the Twelfth Day of November in the Fortieth Year of the
Reign of our Sovereign LORD GEORGE the Third , by the Grace of GOD of Great-Britain, France
and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, and so forth, before George Hodgson< no role > Gent
one of the CORONER S of our said LORD the KING, for the said County, on View of the Body of
a Woman unknown then and there lying dead, upon the Oath of
the several Persons whose Names are hereunder-written and Seals affixed, good and lawful
Men of the said County, duly chosen, and who being then and there duly sworn and
charged to inquire, for our said LORD the KING, when, how, and by what Means, the said
Woman unknown came to her
Death, do, upon their Oath, say, That the said Woman unknown on the eleventh
Day of November in the Year aforesaid at the Parish and in
the County aforesaid accidentally came to her Death by falling
into a Ditch there

IN WITNESS whereof, as well the said CORONER asthe said John Helder< no role >
the Foreman of the said Jurors, and the Rest of his said Fellows, have, to this Inquisition set
their Hands and Seals, the Day, Year, and Place first above-written.
