An Inquisition indented taken for our Sovereign Lord the King at the Dwelling House of Robert Hance< no role >
known by the Sign of the Mitre in the Parish of Saint Mary Islington in the County of Middlesex on Monday
the Twenty Sixth Day of Junein the Twenty Sixth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by
the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith and so forth, before Thomas Phillips< no role >
one of the Coroners of our said Lord the King for the said County on View of the Body of A Man Unknown
then and there lying Dead upon the Oath of
Joseph Richards< no role > , James Delauce, John Matthews< no role > , John Foulkner< no role > Thomas Malkin< no role > Thomas White< no role > Atney Greetham< no role >
James Collins< no role > , Robert Hance< no role > Thomas Hill< no role > Donald Mc Donald< no role > and William Whitehead< no role >

good and lawfull men of the said County duly Chosen and who being then and there duly Sworn and charged to inquire
for our said Lord the King when how and by what means the said Man Unknown
came to hisDeath do upon their Oath say That the said Man to the Jurors aforesaid yet Unknown not being
of Sound Mind Memory and Understanding but Lunatic and Distracted on the Twenty fourth day of July in the Year
aforesaid at the Parish aforesaid in the County aforesaid into a Certain River Called the New River thier Situate did last and
Throw himself by Means of which said Casting and Throwing of himself the said Man to the Jurors aforesaid as yet Unknown
into the said River as aforesaid he the said Man to the Jurors aforesaid as yet unknown in the Waters of the said River Was
then and there Suffocated and Drowned of which said Suffocation and Drowning he the said Man to the Jurors aforesaid as
yet unknown then and there Instantly died And so the Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath aforesaid do say that the said
Man to the Jurors aforesaid as yet Unknown in Manner and by the Means aforesaid not being of Sound Mind Memory and
Understanding but Lunatic and Distracted did Drown and Kill himself

In Witness whereof as well the said Coroner as the said Joseph Richards< no role >
the Foreman of the said Jurors on the Behalf of himself and the Rest of his said Fellows in their presence have to
this Inquisition Set their Hands and Seals the Day Year and place first above Written.
