Hall Court Cannon Street Taylor on his Oath Saith that
Yesterday Morning Deponent was in the Kitchen of his Masters
House Eating his Breakfast Mrs Windmill came in and
requested Deponent would go to her House and assist her
[..] Servant to help the Gentleman her lodges up
who was in a fit Deponent immediately went to Mr
Windmills and the last Witness shewed Deponent into
the deceased Room where he found Deceased laying on
his Belly with his legs and part of his Body in the Room and his
Head in the Closet Deponent went into the Closet and
took hold of his arm meaning to open his hand thinking
he was in a fit when Deponent discovered a great
Quantity of blood under his Neck and faceDeponent
looked under his head and discovered blood running from
a wound from his throat Deponent ran down Stairs
and informed Thomas Howes< no role > of what he had seen and
begged his assistance and returned with him to the
Deceased Room and Deponent turned him on his back
and observed a hole in his Neck under the Chin that
Deceased was not then quite dead as he observed him
move his Eyes that Mrs Gordon a Surgeon then came in
who after Examining him said he was afraid he
was too late that Mr Gordon then went away and
returned again in Company with Mr Heslop< no role > and Mr
Windmill and Deponent then went out of the Room.

John Hyslop< no role > of No 7 Oxford Court Common Street Surgeon on his Oath
Saith that being sent for to Mr. Windmills he went into the
deceased Room where he found the deceased reclining on his
back supported by [..] Mr Windmill and upon Examining him
found that his throat had ben cut and observed a
hard bladed pocket knife lying in the Closet amongst a
great quantity of bloodDeponent immediately [..]
up the wound and continued with him till about 10
O Clock when he died
