Informations of Witnesses taken at the
parish of Saint George Botolph lane
in the Ward of Billingsgate in London
the 1st. day of February 1796 on view of
the body of a Woman lying dead whose
name is unknown.

John Turney< no role > This name instance is in set 2980. of Pudding lane London Surgeon
maketh oath that last Saturday afternoon Dept was
called in to see the body of the deced which being much
swollen Dept entertained & suspicion that her death had
been occasioned by poison that yesterday Dept and
Mr Simpson andr. Gentleman of the poulty opened the
body of the deced Says the towels of the deced appeared in
a natural healthyslate; that they discovered a hole in
the Stomack of the deced of nearly a circular form,
been the stomack lastThat one side of the Stomack
appeared to be a little inflamed That there was a
small quantity of liquid in the Stomach which they
examined but did not discover it to be at all corrosive
Dept her no doubt but the hole or opening in the Stomack
was the occasion of the death of the deced, but what caused
such hole or opening in the Stomack Dept cannot say.
