James James< no role > a Slater lodging at No. 29 in a Street
near the Chapel Somers Town in the parish of St Pan [..]
in the Cors. of Middx maketh Oath that he hath Known
the deced Richard Pritchard< no role > between seven & Eight
Year that he was a Slatevers Labourer -that Dept.
the deced and Mr. Geor. Rogers Martin of the deced and [..]
employed on Tuesday last at Trimmer & Howards
Wharf it in the parish of St Bridget als Bride in
un hading some Slater from a Barge that lay at the said
Wharf [..] to the Wharf for the purpose of Carting them
to go to Somers Town aforesaid-that Dept went on
board the Barge wherein the Slater were for the purpose
of getting her nigher the Wharf-that about three OClock the deced Ledgett
was passing along the Gun Shale of a Barge that lay
the third Barge from the Wharf. for the purpose of
comeing to the Barge Dept. was in to apist Dept.
that while Dept.beingwas engaged [..] in pulling
the Barge Dept. was in nigher the Wharf his Back
being towards the decedDepthe heard something fall into the
Water you looking round Dept. saw the deced in the
Water-that no person was in the Barge the deced had
fell from-that the hide running up the River very
strong carried the deced under some Craft that were
lying near were he had fell over and Dept. saw no more
of him at the time-Dept has seen the decedbeingthis
evening lying dead at the poor house of St. Brides par.
