Informations of Witnesses
taken at the Parish of Saint Olave
within the Borough of Southwark in the
County of Surrey on the 19th day of April
1792 on view of the Body of James
Wright now here lying dead.

Henry Footner< no role > a Mariner belonging to the Sloop Jane
whereof William Footner< no role > is Master of the port of London
and new lying at Hayes's Wharf in the parish of Saint Olave
Southwark maketh oath that he hath known the deced James
Wright about two years-that he was an Apprentice to
William Footner< no role > Master of the Nancy Sloop of Lymington
in the County of Southampton that on Tuesday last was three
Weeks Dept.beingon Hay's Wharf aforesaid in the Evening
was informed by one Charles Rivers< no role > a Mariner belonging to the
Nancy that the deced [..] in theEveningAfternoon of that
day having been employed in a Boat belonging to the Nancy
then lying alongside of Hay's Wharf in endeavouring to present
the Boat he was then inform being squeezed between the
Nancy and another Vessel that lay without her by [..]
some means fell overboardthat no person was in the Boat
with the deced at the time he fell overboardThat about
ten O Clockin theYesterday Morning Dept. saw the deced taken
out of the Water dead by some Waterman nearly opposite Beales
Wharf in the Parish aforesaid.
