WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto us, two of
his Majesty's Justice of the Peace
, in and for the
County of Middlesex
, (one where of being of the Quorum)
by the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish
of ST. LUKE, in the said County, That
Elizabeth Sexton< no role >
(the Widow of
Richard Sexton< no role >
deceased)
hath
lately come into the said Parish, endeavouring to settle there,
contrary to Law. And it appeareth unto us the said Justices,
and we do adjudge that she is likely tobecome charge-
able to the said Parish; and upon Examination of the said
Elizabeth Sexton< no role >
taken upon Oath,
it further appeareth unto us, and we do likewise adjudge, that
the Parish of St. Dionis Backchurch
in the
City of London
is the Place of the last legal Settlement of the said Elizabeth
Sexton
There are therefore in His Majesty's Name to Charge and
Command you the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the said Parish of ST. LUKE
, forthwith to remove and convey
the said Elizabeth Sexton< no role >
from the said Parish of ST. LUKE
, to the said Parish of
St Dionis Backchurch
and deliver her to the
Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or to some
or one of them, who are hereby required to provide for her
according to Law. GIVEN under our Hands and Seals, the
