Distributing Lady Margaret

Mr Maynard then took Notice of a gift or Benefaction of 40s
yearly to the Poor of this Parish by Dame Margaret Osborne< no role > the Widdow
and Relict of Sir Edward Osborne< no role > Knight (afterwards the Wife of Sir
Robt Clarke< no role > Knight one of the Barons of the Exchecquer and Charged on
Messuages or Tenements sometime a Brew house called the Cock and Bell
in the Hoop in Phillpot Lane< no role > now Occupy'd in part by Mr Wade< no role > Glazier
and which gift was directed to be distributed Quarterly amongst the
Poor of the Parish by the Parson and Church Wardens for the time being
but had never been distributed according to the Direction and
Appointment of the Donor

He therefore Moved that the said Gift or Benefaction of 40s
might be distributed among the Poor on St Stephens day Yearly and
being seconded the Question was putt on the said Motion but past
also in the Negative.
