Ordered that the Order of Vestry made the 3d day of April 1755
on hearing Mr Oswins former Petition be now Read and the same was
Read accordingly

Then Mr Daniel Taylor< no role > Moved that the Sum of £24 be Allow'd to
Mr Oswin for one Year to Commence from Lady day last as a Gratuity only
and not as a fix'd Salary and (after a long Debate) the Question was putt
on the said Motion but past in the Negative

Then Mr Robert Potts< no role > Moved that a Salary not exceeding the
Sum of £19..19 be allowed to Mr Oswin for one year only to Commence
from Lady day last and paid him by the Church Warden at the Years
end as a gratuity only and not as a fix'd Salary and being seconded by
Mr Maynard the Question was put on the said Motion and Carry'd in the
Affirmative

discharging the duty's of
his place as Parish Clerk

Ordered that Mr John Winter< no role > Oswin be Allowed the sum of
£19..19 for one year only to Commence from Lady day last past and to be
paid him by the Church Warden at the years end as a Gratuity only and
not as a fix'd Salary and upon this Condition that He dont presume to
Collector Receive any Money from the Parishioners by way of voluntary
Payment or in lieu of Wages And that He constantly Attends and
Discharges the Duty's of his Place as Parish Clerk upon all Occasions

Then Mr Maynard acquainted the Gentlemen Present that
He had Reced a Letter from Mr Thomas Amory< no role > an Apothecary in Chiswell
Street on Behalf of Elizabeth Docketty< no role > one of the Pensioners of this Parish
which he desired might be Read and the same was Read accordingly

A Motion made for allowing
£15 or £20 to Elizh Docketty
to Enable her to follow her
Trade of a Fan Maker But
Rejected

And Mr Maynard then Moved that the Sum of £15 or £20 be
Allowed to the said Elizth Docketty to Enable her to Follow her Business
or Trade of a Fanmaker upon the said Amory's undertaking to give
good Security that the said Docketty shoud not become Chargeable to
this Parish for the Term of three years and being seconded the
Question was put on the said Motion but past in the Negative

A Motion also made for a
Committee to be appointed to
Inspect the Repairs wanting
to the Church but Rejected

Mr Maynard also acquainted the gentlemen present that the
Stoco or Plaister on the outside of the Church was much decay'd and
the Inside wanted whitewashing and other Repairs were wanted He
therefore moved that It might be Referred to a Committee to Inspect
the same with Proper Workmen & Report their Opinion thereon
and that a day be appointed to Receive such Report and being
seconded the Question was put on the said Motion but past in the
Negative

It was then Requested on Behalf of Mr William Martin< no role > who
hath taken the House late occupy'd by Mr Richard West< no role > Hosier deced
that He might have the use of the Pew in the Church (late the sd Mr Wests)
