acquainted the Gent. prsent
that the Mess: in Philpott
Lane in the Tenure of
Mr. Harrison was in as
Ruinous Condition, & that
Mr. Harrison was posed.
of a Lease thereof & by
the Covenants therein the
Lessee Etc. are bound to
repair the Same.
At this Vestry Mr. Church Warden Barber acquainted
the Gentleman present, That the Messuage in Philpott Lane
belonging to this Parish now in the Tenure of Mr.
Robt. Harrison< no role >
was in a very ruinous Condition, & that the Back Front thereof
must be pulled down & rebuilt, and that other necessary Repairs
were wanting, And that Mr. Harrison was possessed by a Lease
thereof made by this Parish to

bearing Date the 22d: October: 1729 which Lease is still Subsisting
and by the Covenants therein the Lessee his Executors & Assigns
are bound to repair the said Messuage
Mr C: Warden Barber then
moved that this Vestry wod.
take the Same into Considn: &
after some time Spent It
was moved That Mr. Harrison
Attend this Vestry in Person
& Attended accordingly
and being Asked why he
did not repair the said
Mess: He answered that
at ye. time he became
passed of the sd. Mess. It
was reprsented to him yt:
the Same was in a
Tenantable Repair &
that he was unable
to repair ye. Same & then
withdrew.
And Mr: Church Warden Barber then moved That this Vestry
would take the Matter of the said Repairs under their
Consideration, and the same were taken into Consideration
Accordingly, and after Sometime spent thereon, It was
moved that Mr. Harrison the Tenant be desired to Attend the
Vestry in Person, & he attended accordingly, and being Asked
why he did not perform the Covenants in the said Lease &
repair the said Messuage, He answered that at the time he
became Possessed of the said Lease, It was represented to him, that
the said Messuage was in a thorough Tenantable Repair
That Relying thereon he had omitted to take a Survey
