Court Continued Septr. ye. 2d. 1718 .

After Dinner at the Fountain Tavern in Stock's
Markett .

Mr. Fordham abt.
beautifying ye. Hall etc

It is Ordered & Agreed by & between ye. sd. Master Wardens & Assistants of
the one part, & Mr. James Fordham< no role > their Tenant of ye. sd. Hall of ye. other part,
That all the Front over the Hall gate, with the Gate posts, and all the Passage
from thence to ye. Door entring into ye. Hall, and the North Side & East end of ye.
Hall on ye. Outside thereof, and the Ceiling, and all the Inside of ye. Hall, &
the Front of the New building over the Piazza's in ye. Garden towards the
East, shall be painted & plaistered; That all the aforesd. works which are in
Wood shall be repaired, & then painted three times in Oyl; That all the sd.
Works shall be forthwith done in good & workman like manner. One half
of ye. charges of all ye. sd. works to be paid by ye. Company, and the other half
thereof by Mr. Fordham, And that the Master do appoint & agree with the
Workmen for doing all ye. sd. works. And that the Master do Sign one part of
this Agreemt. on behalfe of ye. Company, and Mr. Fordham another on his
non behalfe.

Two copies were afterwards mutually Signed by Mr. James Grove< no role > Master &
Mr. Fordham.

Septr. 27th. 1718. being day for paymt. of quartrly. Poor.

I do agree to take of the Worshipfull Company of Carpenters the house
fronting the Hall gate, late Mr. Ovens, for Seven years from Michas next at
eighteen pounds P annm payable quartrly. on ye. usuall dates, & to take a Lease
with ye. comon Covents. to pay two quarters rent in hand as security & to pay
for last two quarters a Pepper Corn, necessary repairs to be done on a view
Paid in part of Rent 5d. to Renter Wardens; Witness John Stile.

Auditor's Report.

This day the Auditors appointed at the last Court day to audit & inspect ye. late
Renter Warden Arlidge's Accounts, met at the Audit Chamber in ye. Hall, and did
audite & inspect ye. Same Accounts in ye. Prsence. of ye. Prsent. Wardens, and did find that
on ye. ballance thereof, the Sume of Two hundred & one pounds eight Shillings &
nine pence three farthings is due to the Company from ye. sd. late Renter
Warden. Which when Stated they allowed & Signed.
