Court Day July the 3d. 1739 Continued

Is 1:3:8 Therefore it plainly Appeared to the Company that Mr. Lewis was Charged
for the Improved Rent Thereupon Mr. Lewis alledged he had Omitted to
Charge some former Arrears of Trophy Tax Therefore it was Agreed that the
above some be now Allowed but that it should be no President for the future

Order to build Mr.
Smith a New Chimney
& to give him ten
Shillings toward ye.
Expence in making Cellar
Stairs

Mr. Smith the Company's Tennant in Hog Lane wants a New Chimney built
by the Company to be Plaistered and White washed and that the Company give him
ten Shillings towards the Expence he has been att in Making a Pair of Cellar
Stairs

Ordered Accordingly

Ordered that Mr.
De Young have 3 Shelves
and two Closetts put up
in his House

Mr. De Young the Companys Tennant in the New Buildings London Wall
desires Three large Shelves to be put up in the Garrett a Little Closett up one Pair of
Stairs and another up two Pair of Stairs

Ordered That Mr.
Cocking May have
Liberty to Assign
over the Company's
Premisses at the Hall
Gate to Mr. James
Fordham

Mr. James Fordham< no role > the Companys Tennant at the Hall Appeared at this
Court and laid before the Court an Agreement dated 25th June 1739 made between
William Cocking< no role > and the said Fordham which was read by the Clerk Purportiny
that the said Fordham was to take the House & next to Carpenters Hall gate
held by Lease of the Carpenters Company for nineteen Years to Come on a Grand
Rent of £5:10s:0d P Ann for the whole time solett & on the same Povenants
Contained in the said Lease and said Fordham to pay the said Company £5:10s:0d
P Ann and £6. P Ann to said Cocking Comencing from Michaelmass next
Clear of all Land Tax or any other Tax Whatsoever from that time and to
indempnifye said Cocking from any Claim or demand Whatsoever to be made by
the said Carpenters Company after such Commencement of Rent as aforesaid
and said Cocking does thereby promise to pay and discharge all such Rent or
Taxes as might be Justly demanded before such time and make the said James
Fordham a Secure Title to the Premisses Then the said James Fordham< no role >
desired that the said Cocking might have liberty to Assign over the said
Premisses to him For the remainder of the Term to Come in the Lease but
Subject to the Rents and Covenants in the said Lease Thereupon said
Fordham Accquainted the Court he would make some alteration which
would be for the bettering of the Companys Premisses which this Court
Consented and Agreed to Accordingly
