Whereas Frequent Complaints have been made to the Master Wardens and Assists.
of the Worshipfull Company of Carpenters that many Persons do exercise and follow the
Trade of Carpentry in the City of London
who are not free of the said City But this Court
finding such Complaints
[..] took up to Much of their time and Apprehending the
Affair not so proper before them and that the Chamberlain was the Proper Person
to regulate such Complaints It is therefore hereby Ordered that when such
Complaints be made for the Future Mr. Poole the Clerk do go with such Persons
to Mr. Benbridge one of the Mayors Court Attorneys and if he shall think their
Information right then to Prosecute such Offender as the Citys Laws direct

. Appeared again at this Court to heat with the Company
about taking a Further Term of the Company'sPremisses in Lymesheet Thereupon
and on debate of the Matter and wading the Order of March last touching this
Company resolution in the Affair This Court doth now Order Nemine Contra
dicente that the said Order of the sixth of March last be further Confirmed. And
it is hereby Ordered that the Clerk do deliver a Copy of the said Order to Mr. Lewis
for his Consideration theron

At this Court a dispute arose whether the Company should allow £3:19s:8d so much
being Charged to the Company for Trophy Tax for the Years 1734 and 1738 on Mr.
Lewis's Premisses in Lymestreet
which said Some of £3:16s:8d the Company Premisses
was a great deale more then they ought to allow for according to Rent Mr. Lewis
Paid the Company £71:0s:0d P and Ground Rent which atted in the Pound for one Year
Comes to but Eleven Shillings and ten Pound which being doubled for the two Years
