Jane Mortiss< no role > Singlewoman maketh
oath that divers years ago her late father Jonathan
Mortiss
< no role > deced lived in & rented a house Called the
Blackhorse Alehouse in Swan Alley in the Parish
of St James Clerkenwell in the Sd County & during
such his residence therein was charged to and
paid Poors Rates for the Same as she this Deponent
has been Credibly informed & Verily believes to be
true That her Said Father did not afterwards to
her knowledge or belief do any Act to gain a
Settlement elsewhere out of the Sd Parish That
She this Depont lived with her Sd Father as part
of his family in the Sd house & never was bound an
Apprentice nor ever lived as a hired Servant for a
year nor was ever Married nor over did any Act to
gain a Settlement in her own right
