mariner maketh oath that her said husband has been
lately pressed & is now on Board one of his Majesties
Ships of war at Spithead as she this Deponent has been
Credibly informed & believes That her Said husband has
informed her & which She believes to be true that he was
born in Eastsmithfield in the Parish of St Botolph witht
Aldgate in the Sd County Where his Parents formerly
lived & resided & this Deponent Can give no other Account
respecting the Settlement of her Said husband or his
Parents or either of them & that She was lawfully
married to her said husband

as a Prisoner for Debt in the Marshalsea Prison That her
Sd husband has informed her & which She believes to be true that
he was duly bound to & Served the Whole of his Apprenticeship
with his Father Thomas Read< no role > a Cooper in the Parish of Saint
James Kings Cliffe in the County of Northampton That her
Sd husband to this Deponts. knowledge or belief never rented a
house of Ten pounds a year or upwards nor ever Served any
Parish office nor ever paid any Poors Rates or Kings Taxes
nor ever did any Act to gain a Settlement Since his Apprenticeship
That She hath three Children namely William < no role > Aged about Ten
Years & three months Sarah < no role > aged about Seven years & five Months
& George < no role > Aged about two years the lawful Issue of this Deponent
by her Sd husband to whom She was lawfully Married
