deced maketh oath That about three years ago & Since her Said
husbands death She was hired & lived as a hired Servant by the year
at Certain Wages by & with Mr Decosta a Tallow Chandler in
Bevis Marks in the Parish of St James in Dukes Place in the
City of London for the Space of one year & Fortnight & by means
thereof gained a legal Settlement there She this Deponent during
Such her Servitude as aforesaid having no Child or Children
then living That She has not Since lived as a hired Servant for
a year or been married or done any Act to her Knowledge
or belief to gain a Subsequent Settlement

deced maketh oath that her Said late husband was by birth an
Irishman & to her knowledge or belief he never rented a house
of Ten pounds a year nor ever Served any Parish office nor ever
paid any Poors Rates or Kings Taxes nor ever did any Act to
gain a Settlement in the Kingdom of Great Britain that this
Depont previous to her Marriage with her Sd husband was hired
& lived as a hired Servant by the year by & with one John Franklin< no role >
a Grocer near Exeter Exchange in the Strand in the Parish of
St Martin in the Fields in the Sd County at Certain yearly Wages &
Continued in Such Service for three years & half & by means thereof
gained a legal Settlement there That She has not Since lived as a
hired Servant by the year nor done any Act to gain a Subsequent Settlement
Save what She Acquired by Marriage with her husband whose
Settlement is unknown
