deced maketh oath that lately & Since her said husbands death
She was hired & lived as a hired Servant by the year by &
with Mr Decosta a Jew Merchant in St Mary Ax in the
parish of St Andrew undershaft in the City of London at
the yearly Wages of Five pounds & Continued in Such Service
for the Space of fourteen months & by means thereof
gained a legal Settlement there That She has not Since lived
as a hired Servant for a year or been Since Married or done
any Act to gain a Subsequent Settlement


Sworn this 16th day
of October 1776 before

late Husband rented a house of Ten pounds a year in Cartwright
Street in the Parish of St. Botolph wihtout Aldgate in the Sd
County & Continued in possion there of for Several years & by
means thereof gained a legal Settlement there That her Said
husband did not afterwards Rent a house of Ten pounds a year
nor Serve any parish office or pay any Poors Rates or Kings
Taxes or do any Act to gain a Settlement for himself nor hath
She this deponant Since his death done any Act to gain a
Settlement for herself.
