Susannah Skelton< no role > Singlewoman maketh oath
that her late Father Thomas Skelton< no role > has informed her & which she
believes to be true that he was born in Ireland & never did any act to
her knowledge information or belief to gain a settlement in England
That her late Mother Susannah Skelton< no role > deced has informed her & which
She believes to be true that her Said Mother was the Daughter of
Henry Aston< no role > late of the Parish of Saint Michael in the Town of
Lewes in the County of Sussex Glover That he rented a house
there & was charged to & paid Parish Taxes for the Same & was born
there & legally Settled there at his Death That this Deponents Sd
Mother has also informed this Deponent & which she believes to be
true that her Said Mother never was bound an Apprentice nor ever
lived as a hired Servant for a year nor ever did any Act to gain a
Settlement in her own right Save what she Acquired by Marriage
with this Deponents Father And this Deponent Saith that She
herself was never bound an Apprentice nor ever lived as a hired
Servant for a year nor was ever Married nor ever did any act
to gain a settlement for herself & that She was also born in the Said
Parish of Saint Michael.
