Dear Sir
I cannot leave London without wishing to repeat my
sincere thanks to the President Yourself and the Governors of
the Hospital for the Favours conferred on my Father and also
for their kind permission in suffering me to remain so long
in his house after his death, having no other way of
expressing my Sentiments, I am obliged to request the favor
of you, whose polite and friendly attention I have experienced
on many Occasions, to communicate my thanks to the
Gentlemen, and to beg them to permit me to dedicate the
piece of plate which accompanies this to the use of the Altar
of their Chapel of Bridewell Hospital

Mr Wight for his handsome and valuable present
Ordered that the same be committed to the Custody of the
Chaplain for the use of the Altar of the Chapel belonging to this
Hospital and the Reverend Mr Bowen being then in Court it
was delivered to him accordingly
At this Court a Motion was made and seconded

of
That an increase be made in the Salaries paid to the
Beadles and Porters Man belonging to this Hospital
agreeably to the recommendation of the House Committee
which was carried in the affirmative.

A Motion was made and seconded that a Gratuity of £50
be paid to Mr.

agreeably to the recommendation of the Bethlem Committee which
was carried in the affirmative and
Resolved that Mr Treasurer be desired to pay the said Mr
Alavoine £50 to be allowed him in his next Account
