Continued Thursday January 26th. 1797

time Thomas Underhill< no role > the Junior Beadle praying to be made
third Beadle it was ordered accordingly

And the Vacancy of Junior Beadle was declared in the
room of Thomas Underhill< no role > removed

Porter's Man Elected


The Court then proceeded to the Election of a Porter's Man
and the Petitions of the following Candidates being read the
Governors gave in their ballots which being cast up the
numbers appeared to be for

Joseph Fitch< no role > 0
William Griffiths< no role > 65
Evan Marpole< no role > 6
Geo: Fras Russell< no role > 0 withdrew his Petition
James Simmonds< no role > 9
William Townsend< no role > 0

Whereupon William Griffiths< no role > was declared duly elected until
the next Election day
