That Ann Rudd< no role >
who had behaved with great propriety during
her confinement should be continued in the House for a time
not exceeding two months and be allowed the full amount of her
earnings
That the Suggestions of the Chaplain respecting the Prisoners
should be further considered at the next Committee
Thursday 25 June
That the Committee being consened in consequence of the late
accident which happened by the falling down of the Building
intended for a Mens Prison.
Resolved that Mr. Snuggs was bound to complete his contract
and that he should be required to proceed without delay.
Wednesday 8th. July
That the Committee not being satisfied with the produce of the
labor of the Prisoners had informed the Superintendent unless
he was more regular and attentive in his account of their
work he would be dismissed.
That the Committee having taken into consideration the
Suggestions of the Chaplain respecting the Prisoners had
Resolved
That the duties of the Chaplain as Stated in pages 29 & 30
of the Standing Rules and Orders comprehend and require in
general terms every material attention to the Persons committed
to this Hospital
That the Committee presuming that the Chaplain would dili-
gently and conscientiously discharge those several duties were
of opinion that the particular mode of performing them was
left to his own judgment but that the most important of
those duties could not be duly discharged without the
constant residence of the Chaplain at the Hospital they
were of opinion with the Chaplain that in the mean time
suitable prayers accompanied with exhortations adapted
to the condition and capacities of the Prisoners might be
