Continued Thursday 26th November 1789.

Addiscombe in the County of Surry Esquire James Brown< no role > of Stoke Newington
Esquire and Archibald Paxton< no role > of Buckingham Street York Buildings
Esquire All which is nevertheless submitted to the Judgment of the Court and
Ordered to be Reported to the next General Court This Court having duly
Weighed and considered the said Report doth Order that the same be
confirmed and that Staves be sent to the above Gentlemen forthwith.

his Benefaction of £50 reported


Richard Clark< no role > Esqr . Alderman Treasurer Reported that he had
received of Burnet Abercomby of Gore Street Esquire £50 for the
use of Bridewell and Bethlem Hospitals It was moved and Seconded
that the thanks of this Court be given to Mr. Abercomby for his
Kind and Charitable Donation.

Nominated Governors


At this Court the following Gentleman were nominated to be
Governors of these Hospital Vizt. Francis De Valangin of Fore Street
M. D. Burnet Abercomby of Gore Street Esquire and Mr. Richard
Haworth
< no role > of Chancery Lane It is Ordered that the consideration of
this Nomination be referred to the Committee of this House who are
desired to make their Report therein to this Court.

he Legacy of £100
reported


At this Court an Extract of the Will of Mrs. Jemima
Woolfreys
< no role > Spinster deceased bearing date the 22nd. day of May 1764
and proved the 23d. September 1789 whereby £50 is given to
Bethlem Hospital and also the further Sum of £50: for the use
of the Incurables in the said Hospital was read And it is Ordered
that the same be entered in the Minutes of this Court.

Inwood James to be Inquired
after for Mr. Locks Gift


Upon Reading the Humble Petition of James Inwood< no role >
Citizen and Weaver setting forth that he served his Apprenticeship
in this Hospital to Roger Owen< no role > by Indenture dated the 30th. of
April 1779 and by Order of Court of the 30th. November 1786
was made free of this City the 3d of July 1787 is set up for himself
at No. 2 Hancock Yard White Friars has received part of
Mr. Fowkes Gift and praying part of Mr. Lock's Gift It is Ordered
that Mr. Thomas Whipham< no role > Mr. George Whiteside< no role > and Mr. John
Thorne
< no role > or any two of them be desired to inquire whether the said James
Inwood be set up for himself in his said Trade and of his hopefulness therein
and Report their opinion to this Court.
