Continued Friday 23d. Septr. 1785.

Hospital do strictly Observe the several Orders & Regulations
respecting the same All which is Nevertheless submitted to the
Judgement of Court.This Court haveing duly weighted
and Considered the said Report doth Confirm the same.

Reynolds Thomas< no role > Junr . to be paid
£10 Fowkes Gift


The Revd. Mr. Bowen one of the Governors reported
that in Pursuance of an Order of Court of the 21d. of July last
he had made an Inquiry and found that Thos. Reynolds< no role > Junr . late
Apprentice to Thos. Reynolds< no role > was set up for himself in his Trade
and has the Character of a Diligent and Sober Man It is Ordered
that the Clerk do pay the said Thomas Reynolds< no role > Junr . Ten Pounds
out of Mr. Fowkes's Gift to be allowed him in his next Account.

be printed in the Summons's


At this Court Nathl. Newnham< no role > Esqr . Aldn . gave Notice
that he should Move at the next General Court to be held for
these Hospitals That an Order of Court Dated 27th Novr. 1778.
" Whereby it was Ordered that in all future Elections at
" Bridewell Hospital Notice be Printed in the Summons's for
" the same agreeable to the invariable Practice of Saint Bartholomew
" Hospital . Vizt. That the Election (if there shall be more
" Candidates then one) will be Determined by Ballolting by
" the Governors who shall be present in Court when the
" Petitioners of the several Candidates are read and they are
" withdrawn and the Door Locked after which no Governors can
" be admitted to Ballot Pursuant to an Order of a General
" Court."may be rescinded.

of Bethlem Hospital in the room of Mr. Henry White< no role > deceased
the Governors Gave their Ballots which being Cast up the
Numbers appeared to be as follows Vizt.
