as governors of these Hospitals.

The Minutes of the last General Court were read &
Confirmed except in the Article respecting the Duty of the
Surveyor and a Motion being made and seconded that the Words
"To Measure and Map the same" standing next after the Words
"and also to Survey all Estates belonging to these Hospitals"
Comitted by Order of the last General Court) be restored when upon
debate of the matter and the Question being put it passed in the
Affirmative.

Mr. treasurer reported that he had received of Henry
Jones
< no role > Esqr . £50. for the Use of Bridewell and Bethlem Hospitals
it was moved and seconded that the thanks of this Court be given
to the said Mr. Jones for his kind and Charitable donation which
was done accordingly.

Journeymen Orris weavers
Their Petition
referred to the House Commee


Upon reading the Humble Petition of the Journeymen
Oris weavers on behalf of themselves and Families in the Words
and figures following Vizt. That your Petitioners understanding
there is a Vacancy for an Arts Master in the said Hospital by
the death of Mr. William Dell< no role > Gold and Silver Orris weaver
The anxious concern with which the Broasts of your Petitioners
are filled for themselves and Families through fear of your
choosing another Master Orris weaver into your House is the
Cause of their pesenting this Court with their Petition Your
Petitioners therefore beg leave to represent to this Honble Court
that nearby half of the Journeymen Oris weavers at this time
are composed of Men who have served their Apprenticeships in
the Hospital of Bridewell under your Satronage. We also
humbly beg leave to observe that the present Number of Journeymen
Oris weavers are more than sufficient as many of them have not
half Employ and pass their Lives in Indigence and Poverty as
their slender Earnings when Business is Plenty will not permit
