Continued Wednesday 26th. Augt. 1778.

Doors of those who are thus confined in the Summer time
that the circulation of fresh Air be in no ways impeded.

That he shall observe the glazing and Wires belonging to
the Windows be kept tight and in good Order and Cause the
Men and Maids to take away any Rags or other nasliness that
may be thurst there and which shall look unseemly to the
Streets.

That he shall take care a proper quantity of Coals be
distributed to the Rooms where Fires are allowed direct the C [..] ters
to be sifted and suffer no waste to be thereof or therein.

That he shall Advertize the Weekly Committee if any repairs
are wanting that Notice thereof may be given to the Surveyor.

That he shall go down into the Kitchen on every Tuesday
Thursday and Saturday in the morning time enough to see the
Provisions that are taken in that they are according to the
Contract and laid ready for the Inspection of the governors if any
come to View them. if none come he shall see them weighed himself
and enter them down in his Book to be seen and examined by the
Committee on Saturday.

That he shall number the pieces of Meat before they are put
into the Pot that the Assistant Basket Man or other such Person
who Cuts up the Dinner may acquaint the Steward with the
number of Pieces Cut up to see if their Accounts tally.

That he shall take care that no more Provisions are drest
than are necessary for the Servants and the Patients of the House
and in Order to know this with more certainly the Number of
Patients who are on the sick List shall constantly hang up in
the cutting Room.

That he shall not suffer the small Beer Celler to be opened
but at the usual Hours nor any Person to draw Beer but the
Assistant Basket Man and he is to draw only one Hour at
Dinner and half an Hour at supper, That he take the Book
down into the Cellar every Saturday than the Committee may see
what Beer has been received and what has been drank the preceds
Week.
