Continued Wednesday 26th. Augt. 1778

That he shall take all necessary Care that the
Cook make no Waste of Provisions or appropriate
to herself any Perquisites which are not her due.

That he shall not suffer any Strong Beer to be
brought into the House for any Patient whatsoever but
at particular Hours for such Persons and in such
quantities as shall be directed by the Physician Surgeon
or Apothecary and set down by them in a Written List
and in order to do this more compleatly and to put a
Stop to the bringing in of the BeerIt is expressly
Ordered that none shall come into the House for any
Patient but through the Stewards apartment.

That no spirituous Liquors be on any pretence
permitted to be brought into this Hospital

That he shall Advertize the Committees of the death
of the Securities of the Incurable Patients or either of
them as soon as it comes to his knowledge and shall
make particular enquiry from time to time to discover
if any Die.

That he shall for the future receive a Settled Salary
in lieu of all perquisites and Advantages whatsoever.

That the Sum of £100..P Annum be paid
him for his Salary.

That he be permitted to keep three Servants and
no more.

That he be not permitted to follow any Trade
Business or employment but that he do and shall
appropriate his whole time in the Service of the
Hospital.

And it is the Opinion of this Committee
that the following Charge be delivered to the Steward
after his Election.
