The Sum Total of Money paid
for Bethlem Hospital was last Year

was applied in payment of old Debts
and the residue being the Sum of

There is a Ballance due from the Represent
of Mr. Hughes the former Steward of Bethlem of}

Mrs. Hughes has delivered in a Claim on the
Hospital out of that ballance and we find the
Business lies before the House Committee and is in
away of being shortly settled.

There is due from Mr. Rashfield the present

The treasurer and Clerks ballances are carried
to the Accounts of Bridewell as has been accustomed

The Rents and Arrears in the Tenants Hands
at Christmas last and which are esteemed to be
recoverable amount as by the Account now

Sums of Money which remain in the Hospital
Ledger and which have been carried on for a
great number of Years amounting in the whole
to the Sum of £3938..7s the particulars of which
we now Produce to the Court and as they are
deemed to be irrecoverable and only serve to swell
the Accounts without any real use as we conceive
we would recommend it to the Court to direct the
same to be Wrote off at the making up the next
Yearly Accounts and to be kept in a separate
Book to be provided for that Purpose}
