is set up for himself in his Trade and has the Character of a
Diligent and Sober Man It is Ordered that the Clerk do pay
the said Jeffry Grimes< no role > Ten Pounds out of Mr. Fowkes Gift to be
allowed him in his next Account

Henry Clarke< no role > Esquire and Mr. Deputy Rogers two of the governors
Reported that in pursuance of an Order of Court of the 12th. day of
April last they had made an Inquiry and found that Ralph Lane< no role >
who Served his Apprentiship in this Hospital to William Grinsell< no role > one
one of the Artsmasters is set up for himself in his Trade and has the
Character of a Diligent and Sober Man It is Ordered that the Clerk
do pay the said Ralph Lane< no role > Ten Pounds out of Mr Fowkes Gift
to be allowed him in his next Account

inquired after for Mr. Locks
Gift.


Upon Reading the Humble Petitions of Philip Fisher< no role > Citizen &
weaver Setting forth That he Served his Apprentiship in this Hospital
with William Wilby< no role > Senr by Indenture dated 7th July 1761 and by
Order of Court of the 28th. July 1768 was made free of this City the
19th day of January 1769 and is set up for himself in his said Trade
at his Fathers Edward Fishers< no role > the Upper End of Ironmonger Row
near St Lukes Church Has recd Mr Fowkes Gift and Praying Mr.
Mr. Locks Gift It is Ordered that Mr. Deputy Read Mr Saml.
Bates
< no role > and Mr. Joseph Rose< no role > Senr. be desired to inquire if the said
Philip Fisher< no role > set up for himself in his said Trade and of his
hopefulness therein and Report the same to the Court.

Curtis John< no role > , to be inquired
after for Locks Gift


Upon Reading the Humble Petition of John Curtis< no role > Citizen and
Needle maker Setting forth That he Served his Apprentiship in this
Hospital to the late Mr. Sutton Sharp< no role > and to Mr. Joseph Sharpe< no role > by
Indenture dated the 7th. of November 1761 and by Order of Court of
the 22d. December 1768 was made free of this City 23d February
1769 and is set up for himself in his said Trade at No. 2 Bear
Alley near Bridewell has Receiv'd Mr. Fowkes and Praying
Mr Locks Gift It is Ordered that Edward Umfreville< no role > Charles

< no role > and Robert Fleetwood< no role > Esqr s. be desired to inquire if the said
John Curtis< no role > be set up for himself in his said Trade and of his
hopefulness therein and Report the same to the Court

weaver Setting forth That he Served his Apprentiship in this
Hospital to William Wilby< no role > Senr. by Indenture dated the 4th.
of August 1762 and by Order of Court of the 30th. day of Novr.
last was made free of this City the 20th day of Feby following
and is set up for himself in his said Trade at Mr. Perrys the
Corner of Bunhill Row next Chiswell Street Praying Mr. Fowkes Gift It is Ordered
that Mr. Deputy Read Mr. Saml. Bates< no role > and Mr. Joseph Rose< no role >
Senr be desired to Inquire if the said Richard Rigg< no role > be set up
for himself in his said Trade and of his hopefulness therein &
Report the same to the Court
