Setting forth That it had been represented
to that committee That
Thomas Banks< no role >
one of the Artsmasters
in this Hospital had frequently appeared upon the Stage in
Pantomine or other Characters at the Play house & elswhere
And that they had called the said Thos. Banks before them
and examined into the aforesaid Representations which they
found to be true and were of Opinion that such Conduct was
improper and inconsistent and incompatible with his Duty
of an Artsmaster And that unless he consents to decline such
Practice for the future he ought to be dismissed from his Office
of an Artsmaster All Which was Submitted to the Judgment
of the Court & was Ordered to be reported to the next Court
This Court heaving duly Weighed the said Report doth confirm
the same And doth Order that the said Thos. Banks be
Expelled from being an Artsmaster of the Hospital And it is
further Ordered that it be referred to the Committee of this
House to consider what Time should be given him to guit his
Appartment and also what can be done with the Apprentices
who are bound to the said Thos. Banks when he guits the Jame
Distrsses to be taken on
the Tenants of Bridewell
Precinct
& wapping
who
neglect or refuse to pay Rent
Mr. Treasr. having informed this Court that several of the
Tenants belonging to this Hospital in Bridewell Precinct and at
Wapping are greatly in Arrear It is Ordered that the Steward
do forthwith Collect and get in the same and in Case any of such
Tenants shall still neglect or refuse to pay the said Arrears and
growing Rents as the same shall become due then that the
Steward with the Assistance of Mr.

them be and they are hereby Impowred to Distrain on such of
the Tenants who shall so neglect or refuse to pay the same
Treasr to Treat with the Govr
& Co of the New River Water
Works for the Purchase of their
Lease
It is Ordered that Mr. treasurer
be desired to Treat with
the Governor & Company of the New River Water Work for the Purchase of their Interest
in the Lease Granted to them from the governors
of Premises
in their Occupation in Bridewell Precinct
