Upon Reading the Humble Petition of Thos Holt< no role > one of the
Beadles Setting forth That he Served his Apprentiship in this Hospital
to James Smith< no role > late one of the Artsmasters by Indenture Dated 21st
Septr 1747 and by Order of 7th February 1757 was made free 5th July 1757 That
on a Petition presented to the Court on 2d. November 1758 the Petitioner
was directed to be Viewed and Reported for a part of Mr Fowkes Gift &
Mr Saml. Seawell< no role > Mr. Maurrice Griffiths< no role > did accordingly View him
But before he reced the said Gift he went into his Majesty's Service &
faithfully Served the Publick during most part of the last were
That the Petitioner was set up in the Trade of an Orice weaver which
he now follows when his Duty as one of the Beadles in this Hospital
allows him Time for that purpose But the Petitioner standing
in need of Some Assistance to Support him in his Industry
Prayed that in regard the Charitable Gifts of this Hospital have
been Extended to Mr Perputer (after he was Elected Artsmasters ) and to
Mr Morgan (after he was Elected Porters Man) this Court would
bestow on him a Part of Mr Fowkes Gift It is Ordered that the
Clerk do pay the said Thomas Holt< no role > Ten Pounds out of Mr Fowkes
Gift to be allowed him in his next Account

Hardie Robt< no role > . to be inquires
after for Mr Locks Gift


Upon Reading the Humble Petition of Robert Hardies< no role > Citizen &
Joiner Setting forth That he Served his Apprentiship in his
Hospital to Wm Tarrant< no role > one of the late Artsmasters by Indenture
dated 13th. March 1760 And by Order of Court of 16th April 1767
was made free of this City the 2d June following And had recd.
Mr Fowkes Gift and was set up for himself in his Trade at his
Fathers in Milford Lane Praying Mr Locks Gift It is Ordered
that Edwd. Jennings< no role > Esqr Edwd. Umfreville< no role > Esqr and Mr Deputy Vere
or any two of them be desired to inquire if the said Robt. Hardie be set
up for himself in his Trade and of his hopefulness therein and Report
the same to this Court

Carter Robt< no role > . the like


Upon Reading the Humble Petition of Robt Carter< no role > Citizen & weaver
setting forth That he served his Apprentiship in this Hospital to Mr James
Smith
< no role > late one of the Artsmasters by Indenture dated 17th Novr. 1755 And
by Order of Court of 3d Novr 1767 was made free of this City 2d. Feby 1768
& has recd. Mr Fowkes Gift and as set for himself in his Trade at No 5
Pauls Alley Red Cross Street Praying Mr Locks Gift It is Ordered that
Mr. Deputy Roses Mr Saml Read< no role > and Mr. Saml Bates< no role > on any two of them
be desired to inquire if the said Robert Carter< no role > be set up for himself in
his Trades & of his hopefulness therein and Report the same to the Court
