Continued Thursday 27th. April 1769

Apothecary of Bethlem to
have the Provision of the
House


And Whereas it is extremely necessary that the Apothecary
(who is the only Medical Officer belonging to this Hospital that has
any Appartment therein) should be constantly Resident there and
he being the only Officer or Servant who has not the Provision of
the House It is the Opinion of this Committee That the Apothecary
for the Time being shall have the Provision of the House in the
same Manner as the Steward now has and enjoys the same All,
which is nevertheless Submitted to the Judgment of the Court
This Court having duly Weighed and Considered the said Report
doth unanimously Confirm the same

after for Mr Locks Gift


Upon Reading the Humble Petition of Willm Robinson< no role > Citizen &
weaver Settingforth that he Served his Apprentiship in this Hospital
to Mr Thos. Dunn< no role > late one of the Artsmasters by Indenture dated
the 5th April 1760 And by Order of Court of 16th April 1767 was made
Free of this City 19th May following & had recd Mr Fowkes Gift
And is set up for himself at No 3 Holloway Row near Moorfields
Praying Mr Locks Gift It is Ordered that Saml Seawell< no role > Esqr
Henry Cranke< no role > Esqr & Mr Deputy Rogers or any two of them be
desired to Inquire if the said Wm Robinson< no role > be set up for himself
in his said Trade and of his hopefulness therein and Report the
same to the Court

Fisher Philip to be inquired
after for Mr Fowkes Gift


Upon Reading the Humble Petition of Philip Fisher< no role >
Citizen and weaver Setting forth that he served his Appreship
in this Hospital to Willm. Wilby< no role > Senr one of the Artsmasters by
Indenture dated 7th July 1761 & by Order of Court of 28th July 1768
was made free of this City 19th Jany 1769 and is set up for himself
in his Trade as a eaver at his Fathers Edwd Fisher< no role > 's the Upper
end of Ironmonger Row near St. Lukes Church Old Street Praying
for Fowkes Gift It is Ordered that Mr Dep. Gamon Mr Saml Bates< no role >
& Mr. Maurice Griffiths< no role > or any two of them be desired to inquire if
the said Philip Fisher< no role > be set up for himself in his said Trade & of
his hopefulness therein & Report the same to the Court

Curtis John the likes


Upon Reading the humble Petition of John Curtis< no role > Citizen and
Needle maker Setting forth that he served his Apprentiship in this
Hospital to the late Mr Sutton Sharpe< no role > & to Mr. Joseph Sharpe< no role > by
Indenture date 7th. Novr 1761 & by Order of Court of 22d. December
1768 was made free of this City 23d. Febry 1769 and is set up for
himself in his Trade at No 2 Bear Alley near Bridewell Hospital
Praying Mr Fowkes Gift It is Ordered that Mr Deputy Vere
Edwd Umfrevilles< no role > & Robt Fleetwood< no role > Esqr s. or any two of them be desired to
inquire of the sd. John Curtis< no role > be set up for himself in his sd. Trade & of
his hopefulness therein & Report the same to the Court

Ordered that Samuel Seawell< no role > Esqr be added to the House
Committee in the Room of Richard Manby< no role > Esqr Deceased
