Continued Thursday 27th. April 1769

of an Order of Court bearing Date the 22d day of December last whereby this
Committee with the Assistance of the Physician were impowered immediately
to make such Regulations in this Hospital as might be found necessary and
when they had so done to Report the same to the next Court This Committee
having taken into Consideration the several Rules and Orders heretofore made
for the Governmt. and good Conduct of this Hospital are of Opinion that it the
following Rules and Regulations were carried into Execution they would tend
Greatly to the welfare of the Patients and good Order and Decoram within the
Hospital

That the Bar Gates belonging to both Galleries be kept constantly Shutt
That no Person be admitted into the Hospital before Ten O Clock in the
Morning or remain thereafter Three in the Afternoon from Michaelmas to
Lady Day

That no Man Whatever unless a Governor or with a Governor be at any
Time Permitted to go within the Bar Gates on the Womens Side under Pretence
of Visiting the Patients or otherwise

That if any Man related to a Woman Patient or Employed by her Relations
is desirous of seeing such Patient she be brought down to the Committee
Room attended by one of the Nurses any Time from Ten to Three on Mondays
and Wednesdays unless such Visits are by Order of the Physician

That if any Person has a Complaint to make against any Servant
of his Hospital he or she be desired to Address him or herself to the Steward
before his or her departure from the Hospital

That for the future no Officer or Servt in this Hospital shall upon any
Pretence be Permitted to Sell or Retail any Thing Whatever any of the
Patients in this Hospital

The Committee are also Opinion that instead of the usual Salaries
heretofore paid to the Officers & Servts. of this Hospital mentd. in the first Coluning
hereunder Written that from Midsummer next they Shall have the several
Sums mentd. in the Second Column under Written Vizt

In Lieu of any Gratuities heretofore given or allowed by the Court and alls
other Perquisites profits & Advantages of every Kind whatever Except the
Box Money which is to be disposed and distributed in such manner and in
such Proportion as the same now is or has been heretofore Used And in Cases
any Officer or Servt. Shall in any one Instance receive any Sum of Money
or other Satisfaction or benefit what soever over & above their Provision hereby
made he she and they shall be thereupon immediately dismissed & discharged
and rendered incapable of being again employed in the said Hospital
